A teen was near a storm drain culvert and was swept away by quickly rising water. His body was later recovered along a creek about half a mile from the original location. Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall were moving through the area at the time.
Three to five inches of snow fell across the the county from late morning through the evening hours of February 15th. Numerous accidents were reported, including a 50 car pile up on Highway 54 just east of Eldon with minor injuries being reported.
