The Bert Mooney Airport recorded 1.65 inches of rain in an hour. The 911 dispatch reported manholes being blown from deep water rushing down the streets, a motorhome was pushed into a ditch, and there were multiple reports of water in people's homes.

Law enforcement reported heavy rainfall led to street flooding in the Uptown District of Butte, Montana. Further, road department officials reported several clogged storm drains resulted in areas of minor street flooding.

One spotter measured quarter-sized hail while another estimated the largest hailstones to be up to tennis ball size.

Hail size was estimated to be the size of quarters.

A newspaper in Butte reported that the top of an approximately 40 foot Ponderosa Pine tree fell over onto Park Street near the Montana Tech hill. Looking at the photo, the tree apparently fell towards the east direction.

The first severe thunderstorm developed over the Beaverhead National Forest south of Anaconda before 2pm MDT and tracked northeast over Gregson Hot Springs producing up to one inch hail.
