A 24 foot long sailboat capsized during a severe thunderstorm on the Delaware River. The boat set sail from Pyne Poynt Marina in Camden. One person on board drowned when he became entangled in the lines and was submerged beneath the capsized boat. (M53O)
A severe thunderstorm caused considerable tree damage within Cherry Hill Township. Downed trees damages homes, fences and vehicles. The male driver was trapped and injured in his vehicle for forty-five minutes after trees and live wires fell around him.
