Light freezing precipitation, mostly in the form of freezing drizzle, caused very slick roadways. A woman was killed in a multiple car pile-up in the northbound lane of I-35 near Guthrie during the pre-dawn hours on the 8th.

Just over two inches of snow was measured in Guthrie. An automobile accident with one fatality and one injury occurred as a result of slick roads. The accident occurred just before noon on the northbound Broadway Extension near State HWY 33.
Widespread tree, power line, and power pole damage occurred over mainly the southern half of the county. Traffic accidents occurred as a result of bridges and elevated surfaces icing up. Unfortunately, one person died as a result of an automobile accident.
A 67-year old man was found dead in the snow in his front yard in Guthrie due to hypothermia. Nearly 10 inches of snow fell across Guthrie the 2 previous days, and highs on the 28th were only in the mid 20s.
A 78 year-old woman died in her home in Guthrie due to the excessive heat. Reports indicated she rejected numerous offers of an air conditioner.
A 79 year-old man died in his mobile home in Mulhall due to the excessive heat.
