Seventeen to twenty-one inches of snow fell across southeastern Providence County. A Rhode Island man died from a heart attack while shoveling snow from the blizzard. No further details were available, including what city or town the man was from.

Winds generally gusted 40-50 mph. In Pawtucket trees and powerlines were down at the intersection of Beverage Hill and Prospect St.

The total water level at the Fox Point Barrier reached 9.37 feet - which was a 3 to 4 foot surge above astronomical tide. This caused the barrier to be shut down (6.7 feet is their threshold). Other area streets in Providence had several inches of coastal flooding.

In Cranston at 7:30 AM EST a large tree was blocking Crocus Dr, there was a tree down on Fletcher Ave at Britton St, and there were power lines down on Julia St at Legion Way.
