A slow moving supercell produced a wide swath of very large hail from south of Dimmitt into the town of Dimmitt. Numerous reports were received of hail ranging from golf ball size to as large as 3.50 inches in diameter. No damage was reported.

Law enforcement in Castro County reported a swath of hail up to two inches in diameter along Texas State Highway 86 from approximately two miles west-southwest of Dimmitt into Dimmitt. Numerous windshields were reported to be destroyed.
