A lightning strike started a fire that scorched a few nearby trees, and damaged a garage and a storage shed near a home in Edmonds.

3 lightning strikes knocked out power to nearly 6000 homes in the Edmonds area. One strike ruptured a natural gas line which started a small fire.

Anywhere from one to two inches of rain fell over most of Snohomish county, the hardest hit areas were from Mountlake Terrace northeast to Lake Stevens. About 1000 homes lost power, and flooding and mudslides damaged a few roads, farmland and homes.
