Washington State Patrol reported heavy rain in Central Spokane. Water was standing on Interstate 90 in both directions.

Lightning struck a tree at the Fairmont Cemetery in Northwest Spokane. Tree was spit in pieces on the ground with wood splinters scattered across the ground. No injuries were reported. Exact time of the lightning strike was estimated.
