A woman lost control of her car on slippery Midday Hollow Road, between Eleanor and Buffalo around 0900E. Her vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
A 63 year old man drowned, after falling into Bear Branch, a small tributary to Eighteen Mile Creek east of Buffalo. He was removing debris from the stream around a bridge. The creek was swollen from over an inch of rain during the afternoon.
