Fremont storm history

Heavy rain caused small stream and urban flooding in the Canon City area. Two young boys playing in an irrigation ditch were swept to their deaths shortly after 1:00 p.m. MST.

Fremont county sheriff reported a rock slide on highway 50 at mile marker 261.

There were several wash outs along county road 9, with rocks and boulders washed onto the the road between mile 1 through 10.
