What EF1 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF1 is moderate damage: roofs badly stripped, mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned, windows broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 86–110 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

This tornado touched down just north of Shilo Road and tracked NE for 11 miles before it dissipated just past Leesburg Road. Much of the damage along the path was damaged trees along with uproots and snapped trees, some power lines were down as well. Just off of Gulde Road, chicken houses were damaged with much of their roofs pealed off. Peak intensity was from the chicken house area to Lake Road where the most tree snaps were noted. The maximum wind speed was around 105 mph. One indirect injury was noted as a train ran into a downed tree on the rail road in the area of the damaged chicken houses.
