This weak tornado touched down just south of Sills Ferry Road. Along its path, it blew down weak and dead trees, did minor roof damage to a house, and tossed a trampoline. It continued to do weak tree damage before it dissipated just over the Simpson County line.

A potent weather system moved across the region on January 5th and produced a round of severe storms across the region into the early morning hours of the 6th. These storms produced damaging winds and tornadoes.
