Event narrative

A brief rain wrapped tornado developed within the squall line and produced EF-0 damage to trees near a farmstead and EF-1 tree damage to the eastern side of a shelterbelt about 2 miles south of Larimore. Peak estimated wind speed was 95 mph.

Wider weather episode

A QLCS type mesoscale convective system brought widespread severe thunderstorm winds to eastern ND, along with, multiple brief tornadoes during the early morning hours.
