Event narrative

This brief tornado developed about 1.7 miles west of Red Willow Lake and caused damage to crops. High resolution satellite imagery reveals ground scouring and crop damage along the short narrow path. Time estimated from KMVX radar. Maximum wind is estimated at 70 mph.

A QLCS type mesoscale convective system brought widespread severe thunderstorm winds to eastern ND, along with, multiple brief tornadoes during the early morning hours.
