The media reported A Montana woman was killed when a tree struck her during a weekend thunderstorm. She was reportedly running back to camp when a tree broke, striking her on the head. She died on the way to the hospital.

A line of thunderstorms marched northward across west-central Montana with gusty outflow winds. A gust of 59 mph occurred between Avon and Finn along Highway 141. Similar gusts occurred across the Windy Rock Fire southwest of Finn. No damage was noted.
