A lightning strike ignited a house fire in a Summit Park one floor house, killing the 81 year od woman sleeping inside. The bolt travelled into the home on an electric wire serving an outdoor light fixture.

In the community of Erie, flooding was observed along Farnum Road.

Water was observed on US-50 due to an overflowing culvert.

Flooding was observed on Wilsonburg Road at O'Neill Hill.

Outside the town of Shinnston, flooding was observed on Lucas Road.

Flooding was observed on Hughes Run Road, Bennets Run Road, and near Williams Mine Road.

In and around the town of Lumberport, multiple trees were blown down.

Flooding was observed on and around Good Hope Pike from Sunny Croft Country Club to Davisson Run Road and Milford Street.

Philippi Pike Road in Anmoore was flooded for a period of time.

In downtown Clarksburg, Grant Street was flooded.

A water rescue occurred on Milford Street in Clarksburg. Flooding was also observed in Nutter Fort and along Elk Avenue in Stonewood.

Flooding was observed on Hall Valley Court and Forrester Boulevard near the Clarksburg airport.

Flooding was observed along Benedum Drive and along streets and creeks from Bridgeport east to the Taylor County line and north to the Marion County line.

High water was observed on Route 270 around South Harrison High School.

Flooding was observed along Sycamore Creek.

The storm door on the back porch of a home in Lost Creek was torn off its frame.

A portion of a wall was ripped off the side of a garage in West Milford.

Widespread damage was observed in the Laurel Valley area, including siding ripped off the wall of a house, and a partially collapsed wall of another home. In addition, several trees were blown down that caused damage to nearby fences.

Multiple trees and power lines were blown down between West Union and Clarksburg.

Numerous trees were blown down in Clarksburg. Portions of a roof were blown off an apartment building.

East of Bridgeport, notable structural damage and debris was observed.

In Arlington, trees were uprooted, siding was torn off of a porch, and part of a roof was blown off of a local home.
