The Atigun Pass DOT mesonet station reported wind chill of -60 to -70 degrees F for a period of nearly 36 hours.

Wind chill temperatures from 55 to 65 below zero were observed through the Brooks Range passes and along the north side of the mountains. Anaktuvuk Pass reported a wind chill of -64 degrees F and the Sag River DOT camp along the Dalton Highway saw readings dip to -63 degrees F.

Ambient temperatures around -40F combined with winds from 15 to 20 mph resulted in frequent wind chill readings around 70 below zero. The coldest wind chill of -72F was reported at the village of Anaktuvuk Pass.
