The Tolikan Chapter House reported 8 to 14 inches of new snow their area from Sunday to Monday depending on location and elevation.

Six inches of snow fell in Lukachukai at an elevation of about 6400 feet above mean sea level. Delivery trucks had to turn around because of the snow before they could reach town. Three inches of snow fell in Dennehotso at an elevation of 5000 feet.

The visibility was down to 25 feet in blowing dust at times in the community of Many Farms.

A trained spotter just east of Chinle estimated wind gusts to be 65 MPH.

The dispatch center in Chinle reported near zero visibility on Highway 191 north of Chinle. Police in Kayenta reported blowing dust with visibility down to 100 feet. The community of Many Farms had visibility down to 25 feet in blowing dust.

Weather spotters in Chinle reported very strong winds, power outages, blowing dust across area roads, and one half mile visibility for a couple of hours.

A foot of snow fell in Chinle and 10 inches fell in Canyon de Chelly.

High winds broke branches of various sizes out of cottonwood trees at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly. The winds also caused the power to go out in Chinle. The weather station at Red Mountain School had a peak gust of 61 MPH.
