A mother and baby were overtaken by large surf and washed into beach logs at Telegraph Creek north of Shelter Cove. Both victims were rescued. Surf was estimated to be around 20-30 feet at the time of the incident.
A tree fell onto a vehicle. The driver was trapped for nearly 12 hours. Major injuries were sustained, and the victim was transported by Coast Guard helicopter to a hospital.
