Event narrative

A tornado briefly touched down south of Clintonville at 5:32 PM

CDT, moving east-northeast before dissipating at 5:34 PM CDT. The tornado was spotted by the local fire department and tracked over mainly open areas with little to no damage indicators. The only damage indicators were disturbances to crops on satellite analysis. Total path length is estimated to be 1.32 miles long, with a width of 80 yards. Path estimated based on radar and satellite imagery.

Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms and a few supercells developed ahead of a warm front Wednesday (7/23) afternoon across central and north-central Wisconsin. The storms eventually developed into a Quasi-Linear Convective System and tracked through the rest of central, east-central, and northeast Wisconsin through the early evening. The strongest storms produced damaging winds and 5 tornadoes.
