Western Hampshire storm history

Three-quarters of an inch of ice accumulated on exposed surfaces throughout western Hampshire County. Trees, large limbs and wires were downed in Cummington, Chesterfield, Worthington, Goshen, and Middlefield.

Generally 6 to 8 inches of snow fell with some of the higher totals including 8 inches in Huntington and 6.7 inches in Williamsburg.

Generally 4 to 6 inches of snow fell followed by around 0.25 inches of ice. One of the highest snowfall reports was 7.5 inches in Huntington. Winds generally gusted 45 to 50 mph which, combined with the snow and ice, led to widespread power outages.

In Goshen, multiple trees were down on Fuller Rd.

In Cummington, a tree was down on Dodwells Rd.

In Huntington, a tree was down on wires.

Generally 10 to 12.5 inches of snow fell. Some accumulations included 12.5 inches in Westhampton, 12 inches in Plainfield, and 10 inches in Chesterfield.

Winds generally gusted 45 to 55 mph. The strongest gust was 63 mph in Goshen.

Snowfall totals in western Hampshire County included 8.6 inches in Plainfield and 8.0 inches in Westhampton.
