Heat related death reported by the Health Department. Victim was not identified and the time and exact cause of death was not disclosed, but heat was a significant contributing factor to the death.
Temperatures in the middle to upper 90s and dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s led to excessive heat across portions of southeastern Pennsylvania. Heat indices reached 109 degrees at the Philadelphia ASOS on July 3rd.
