Winds generally gusted 50-60 mph but some sporadic gusts were higher including an 81 mph gust at a New Shoreham CWOP at 11:21 AM EST.

The closest climate site at T.F. Green Airport (KPVD) beat both its daily record and it's all time June high temperature record with 100F. Three beachgoers were taken to the hospital with heat related injuries in Narragansett.

Winds generally gusted 40 to 60 mph. The strongest gust was 61 mph on the Block Island Jetty.

On Block Island, a weather flow site on the Block Island jetty reported a gust to 58 mph at 6:25 AM EDT.

At 1242 PM EST, a Weatherflow mesonet station at Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 60 mph.

At 108 AM EST, a mesonet station at New Shoreham recorded a wind gust to 62 mph.

At 655 AM, two feet of water was observed over Coast Guard Road on Block Island.

At 551 PM, the AWOS station at the Block Island Airport (KBID) recorded a wind gust of 58 mph.

At 827 PM EST on March 12, a Weatherflow station at the Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 63 mph.

On the Block Island Jetty winds gusted up to 65 mph at 7:17 AM EST.

The Block Island Airport ASOS (KBID) reported blizzard conditions from 705 AM EST to 142 PM EST. The strongest gust was 72 mph at the Block Island Jetty at 1022 PM EST. Snowfall amounts were around 10 inches. The Block Island CO-OP reported 10.4 inches.

At 552 PM EST, a mesonet station at the Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 63 mph.

A mesonet site at New Shoreham recorded a wind gust to 67 mph at 1239 PM EST and 62 mph at 159 PM EST. A mesonet station at Block Island Jetty recorded a gust to 59 mph at 1247 PM EST.

Winds gusted to between 65 and 85 mph around daybreak. The highest gusts reported were: 85 mph at 602 AM EDT at the Block Island Jetty (Weatherflow mesonet); 77 mph at 655 AM EDT from the Block Island Cooperative Observer; and 77 mph at 619 AM EDT from a New Shoreham CWOP station…

Winds gusted to between 60 and 70 mph for a few hours during the mid to late morning. At 859 AM EST, a mesonet site at New Shoreham recorded a peak gust to 67 mph. At 932 AM EST, a mesonet site at the Block Island Jetty recorded a peak wind gust to 69 mph.

At 2 AM EST on March 2nd, a mesonet site at the Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 65 mph. A separate report of a 58 mph gust was received from New Shoreham at 357 AM EST.

In New Shoreham (Block Island) at 740 AM EST, a mesonet site recorded a gust to 64 mph.

A CWOP station in New Shoreham recorded a wind gust to 58 mph at 136 PM EST and then a gust to 66 mph at 236 PM EST. At 256 PM EST, the AWOS at Block Island Airport (KBID) recorded a gust to 54 mph.

At New Shoreham (Block Island) at 901 PM EST, a mesonet site recorded a wind gust to 69 mph. The same site recorded a gust to 68 mph at 936 PM EST and 62 mph at 1016 PM EST.

At 356 PM EDT, the ASOS at the Block Island Airport (KBID) recorded a wind gust to 59 mph (51 kt).

A mesonet site at the Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust of 61 mph at 426 AM.

A mesonet site at the Block Island Jetty recorded sustained winds of 43 mph.

At 9:48 AM EST on February 9th an amateur radio operator in Glocester reported a tree down on Sawmill Road at the Scituate/Glocester town line.

At 6:39 PM EST a mesonet station on the Block Island Jetty reported a wind gust to 59 mph. At 6:49 PM EST the same station reported a sustained wind of 50 mph.

At 3:48 PM EST, the Automated Weather Observing System platform at Block Island State Airport reported a wind gust to 56 mph.

At 205 AM, a mesonet site at Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 59 mph. That same site recorded a sustained wind of 45 mph at 230 AM. The Block Island Airport AWOS site reported a gust to 49 mph at 126 AM.

At 149 PM EDT, a mesonet site at Block Island Jetty recorded a wind gust to 58 mph and at 209 PM EDT, the same site measured sustained winds of 47 mph.

At 914 AM EDT, sustained winds of 40 mph were recorded at the Block Island Jetty mesonet and at 1104 AM EDT, sustained winds of 43 mph were recorded there.

From seven to eight inches of snow fell on Block Island.

At 2:43 PM EST a mesonet sensor on the north side of Block Island reported a wind gust to 71 mph. At 11:06 AM EST the Co-operative observer at Block Island reported a wind gust to 59 mph.

Blizzard conditions were observed at Block Island State Airport from 830 AM to 1205 PM. Eleven inches of snow fell on Block Island.

A gust to 59 mph was measured 2 mi NNE of Dunn Landing on the west side of Block Island at 1051 AM EST, per a marine mesonet.

At 1109 PM EST, the Co-operative observer at Block Island measured a wind gust to 71 mph.

At 9:18 AM EST on Sept 20, the Cooperative Observer at Block Island recorded a sustained wind of 41 mph. At 216 AM EST on Sept 22 the observer reported a wind gust to 61 mph. No property damage was reported.

Marine mesonet reported a 61 mph gust 2 miles NNE of Dunn Landing at 1141 AM.

A COOP observer on Block Island measured 6 inches of snow accumulation.

Fourteen to sixteen inches of snow fell on Block Island during the day and evening. Conditions briefly approached blizzard criteria between 356 PM and 421 PM.

The Weatherflow station at the Block Island Jetty (Dunn's Landing) measured sustained wind of 46 mph at 525 PM on the 20th, with gusts to 56 mph. At the Block Island Airport, the AWOS measured sustained wind of 34 mph at 530 PM.

On November 1, the U.S. Drought Monitor reduced the Block Island designation to Moderate Drought (D1) and continued that through the end of the month.

The U.S. Drought Monitor placed Block Island in a Severe Drought (D2) designation through the month of October.

The U.S. Drought Monitor expanded the Severe Drought (D2) designation into Block Island on September 13th. This continued through the month of September.

The WeatherFlow site at Block Island Jetty recorded sustained wind speeds of 41 knots. No damage was reported.
