Strong wind blew down or snapped over 350 power poles across the southern half of the county. The Southwestern Public Service, an electric company, reported 28 power transmission structures destroyed by the strong wind.

A Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet site near New Home measured severe wind gusts from 1933 CST to 1934 CST. A peak wind gust of 80 mph was measured at 2034 CST. Additionally, irrigation center pivots were reportedly knocked over in central Lynn County, north of Tahoka.

A Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet site near Tahoka measured severe wind gusts from 1827 CST through 1833 CST. A peak gust of 70 mph was measured at 1828 CST. This wind downed a light pole in the town of Tahoka and toppled a center pivot north of Tahoka.

Local broadcast media relayed a report of half dollar size hail near Tahoka. This hail became wind driven and stripped crops and trees in and around Tahoka.

A Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet site in New Home measured severe wind gusts from 1453 CST through 1502 CST. A peak wind gust of 64 mph was measured at 1453 and 1554 CST.

A trained spotter and fire department officials reported a swath of hail from roughly six miles east of Tahoka to ten miles east of Tahoka along US Highway 380. Hail ranged in size from ping pong ball to golf ball size.
