Anchorage Daily News reported the avalanche death of a snowmobiler on Unalaska Island. The avalanche was noticed around 5:30 p.m. and Search and Rescue was called since the victim was known to be in the area.

The DPLA2 C-MAN station in Unalaska recorded a wind gust of 86 mph at 7:04 AM AKST 11/14/24. The Unalaska AWOS also recorded a gust to 83 mph at 7:16 AM AKST on the same morning.

Unalaska Roads Department reported heavy rain in Unalaska washed out several gravel roadways in the surrounding area. Blocked culverts caused additional street flooding and also washed large crevasses up to 4 ft deep in some of the roadways.

Unalaska airport experienced a peak gust of 91 mph during this period. Minor damage was sustained: an airport gate broke, rocks were thrown onto the runway and a vessel broke free in the harbor.
