A 41-year-old male was struck and died the next day from a lightning strike while fishing with his 10-year-old son on Takanassee Lake Beach in Long Branch. His son was not injured.
A 48-year-old woman was struck by lightning in Monmouth Beach at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Sunset Lane. She died the next day.
