A wind gust to 68 mph was reported at Danbury Airport at 711 pm. A 55 year old male was killed when a tree fell on him while he cleared debris.
Forty six people were injured in a 50 car pile up near the corner of route 110 and Indian Well Road around noon when freezing rain began. None of the injuries were life threatening.
Numerous trees and power lines were downed throughout the county. This resulted in numerous power outages. Danbury Airport reported a gust of 49 mph at 1244 pm LST.
