Almost 5 inches of rain was reported from multiple people in Dell City. Roads were impassable for awhile. Rain fell at around 1 inch per hour for 4 hours.

The Dell City Mesonet site reported a peak gust of 66 mph with a thunderstorm in the area.

A Mesonet station recorded a gust of 58 mph. A trained spotter also reported damage across Dell City including a trampoline falling onto power lines and damage to the fire station.

Water was flowing quickly near a residence. Water was up to Highway 180 and could have been flowing over it.

TXDOT closed railroad frontage underpass because of flooding in Sierra Blanca.

Two weak landspout tornadoes were reported about 12 miles north of Sierra Blanca. Both lasted an unknown amount of time with no injuries or damage reported from them.

A CoCoRaHS observer reported 2.10 inches of rain in about an hour 7 miles north-northwest of Quitman Canyon. The heavy rain washed out a two inch steel pipe that had been in place since the 1940's and caused severe flooding in the canyon.

A trained spotter reported massive flooding across rural Hudspeth County. Area roadways had water at jeep hood level. Rainfall amounts of between 2 to 4 inches were reported from CoCoRaHS observers.

A tight drought index gradient existed across Hudspeth County through the month of November. Far West Hudspeth County was only in Moderate(D1) drought but over the far eastern portion of the county it was up to Exceptional(D4). Little change was noted during the month.

Areas of Central Hudspeth County from north to south were in Severe(D2) drought with an increase to Exceptional(D4) drought over the northeast corner of the county. The Dell City COOP reported 0.10 inches of rain which was 0.86 inches below normal.

Through the month of May, the eastern half of Hudspeth County was in Exceptional(D4) drought. The remainder of Hudspeth County was in Extreme(D3) drought. No measurable precipitation was reported in most areas since early February, and in some cases since late October 2010.

Power was knocked out in Dell City for more than 12 hours after wind blew the phase off of a transmission pole a mile and a half north of Highway 62/180. In addition 1 to 2 inches of rain also fell across the area.
