The public reported flash flooding occurring in Garden Street near Emancipation Gardens Park. The road was impassable and fallen trees were floating around.

Heavy rain fell over Saint Thomas on Monday afternnon. A daily maximum rainfall of 1.95 inches was recorded at the King Airport, breaking the old daily record of 1.17 inches set back in 1958. Gusty southwest winds reaching 40 mph were recorded during this period of heavy rain.

Heavy rains affected Saint Thomas during the late afternoon causing urban and street flooding. The Cyril King airport ASOS measured 1.06 inches of rainfall. A wind gust of 38 mph from the west southwest was recorded during this heavy rain period.

Heavy rain with measured rainfall accumulations of 6 inches in some areas, led to flooding of homes in the downtown area of Saint Thomas. Several families were evacuated due to flooded homes.

Landslides, impassable roads and local flooding were reported due to persistent heavy rainfall across the island.

At Wendy's restaurant, located at Mandela Circle in St. Thomas, the road in front of the restaurant was flooded. Heavy rains during the afternoon closed St. Thomas' Brookman Road, combined with street flooding near Havensight Mall.

The ASOS sensor recorded intermittent periods of heavy rain. A total of 3.02 inches were recorded during the 24 hour period ending at 12 midnight.

Frequent periods of heavy rain affected the Saint Thomas airport during the night and morning hours. Urban and road flooding was reported on several parts of the island. The ASOS rain gauge recorded 3.57 inches for the 24 hour period ending at midnight.

Occasional periods of heavy rain led to minor flooding of poorly drained areas on Saint Thomas.

Flash flooding was reported along Veterans Highway close to Banco Popular building.

The Saint Thomas airport ASOS indicated heavy rain for a period of one hour and a half.

A thunderstorm affected Saint Thomas with heavy rain and gusty winds. Some homes were flooded, and other areas lost power. Rainfall amounts of 1.20 inches fell during a short period of time.

A strong thunderstorm affected the center of Saint Thomas from Drake's Passage to Mountain Top. Several power and street light poles downed, street lights damaged, trees and branches down, and a couple of small mudslides.

Mandela Circle in the Havensight area of St. Thomas was reported flooded. The area around Mandela Circle also flooded Monday afternoon. Vitraco Mall area was reported flooded.
